I’ve long dreamed of doing a series of paintings that celebrated the surface it was painted on. This series originally painted on linen is just that. Feminine and painterly with strong compositions; this series is everything I crave in a work of art.

This lovely painting of purple Iris is printed on superior archival grade canvas in my studio in Athens, Ga. It is available stretched or unstretched.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
A stretched print is when the canvas is pulled over a stretcher bar frame, like you would expect to see for an original painting. For these prints, once the archival artwork is printed onto the canvas, it is stretched over gallery depth stretcher bars (1.5 inches) to make it look and feel like an original. It can be hung directly as is or framed like a traditional canvas painting. Each stretched print from this series will have handpainted accents added to it and will also be signed and dated on the back of the framing.

An unstretched print is when the canvas is cut directly to size so it can be placed straight into a pre-made frame. This option gives you the ease and aesthetic of standard store-bought framing while maintaining that extra bit of depth you get in person with that canvas texture peaking through. *I make a point to work with only traditional sizes, so you should have no trouble finding a frame you love at a store you trust.

WHAT’S THE LEAD TIME?
Be advised that with all stretched prints and any prints over the size of 16x20, these are all made to order. Processing time depends on how many prints we have in the queue - typically around 2 weeks. *Unstretched prints under 16x20 should be processed and shipped within a week.
